Chinese Grace Evangelical Free Church (CGEFC) is a member of the North American Evangelical Free Church Alliance.

At CGEFC, we believe that a healthy church is a missions-oriented one, for God has given us a clear command to spread the good news to the ends of the earth through the Great Commission.  As stated by His Son, Jesus Christ:

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holly Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." - Mathew 28:18-20, NIV

Our great desire it not only to advance His kingdom by supporting missions, but we hope to see members of our own congregation answer the call to live out the Great Commission and take the Gospel to the unreached.

Goals of the Missions

  1. Motivate church members regarding the great missions God has assigned us.
  2. Encourage church members to observe God's glory by obeying and manifesting The Great Commission.
  3. Pray for the evangelical missions and the overseas churches.
  4. Educate church members to raise awareness of the fundamentals and responsibilities of the evangelical missions.

  5. Enlighten church members' concern for evangelical missions and to provide for the missionaries' needs.

  6. Praise the Lord on the accomplishments of His missions.
  7. Continue to encourage and support the missionaries no matter what obstacles they confront.

Support

CGEFC supports a number of local and international ministries which seek to accomplish the mission of the Great Commission, such as the Emmanuel Gospel Fellowship Northern Thailand, Ecuador Chinese Mission and Chinese Christian Mission.  The larger bulk of monetary support; however, comes from personal contributions made directly by church members. Furthermore, church members are encouraged to support local and international missionaries by joining and partnering with them rather than working under the umbrella of CGEFC.  By contributing directly, members are able to stay in closer contact with the missionaries and organizations they support.  They are able to see more precisely how their funds are being used.  In addition, the missionaries are able to keep their supporters more closely informed of their progress and prayer needs.  This is something that CGEFC continues to encourage.

CGEFC does its part by educating its members about missions—its scriptural importance, operations, challenges, needs and victories.  They do this by allowing the congregation to hear from, and interact with, missionaries face to face.  CGEFC’s most prominent effort toward this goal occurs during our yearly celebration of missions:  The Short Missions Conference with other local church members.

The Great Commission Support

You can give to the Great Commission Fund by placing your donation in an envelope and writing “CGEFC” on it. Place it in the offering on Sunday.
